Head coach of the Black Meteors, Ibrahim Tanko says he is delighted by the big win over Togo in the AFCON U-23 qualifier.
Ghana’s U-23 side thumped their Togolese counterparts 5-1 on Tuesday at the Baba Yara Sports stadium handing the team a huge advantage ahead of the return leg in Lome.

Salamanca forward Kwabena Owusu bagged a hat-trick with Osman Bukari and Nassam Ibrahim each scoring a goal.
After the game, the ex-Dortmund striker indicated they were happy with the big victory and adds his second half changes paid off.
“We are very delighted with the win because the first half was very difficult, they made it difficult for us but we were able to make it happen,” he said

“The changes made in the second half paid off and you could see all the players gave their best.
“What we have to do now is go there and get a result that will see us through to the next stage of the qualifiers.”
The winner of the two legged game will face Gabon in the penultimate round of qualifiers for Egypt 2019.
