Ex-Great Olympics defender Dan Quaye says he will rate the Ghana Premier League 10% out of the best leagues in the world.
Quaye believes the standard of the league has dropped due to the lack of quality players available at the various clubs.
“Ghana Premier League is way below best standards and personally, I will rate it 10% out of the best leagues in the world,” he told Ghanasports page 1.
The former Hearts of Oak ace also stressed that Ashanti Gold SC stand as favourites to win the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League title
“Kotoko or Hearts cannot be the league champions, Ashgold have a solid team and have played very matured and good football so far,” he added.
“I also think that Liberty Professionals, Berekum Chelsea, Aduana and Wafa have remarkably strong squad to challenge Ashgol
