Ghana Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton has granted a first-time call-up to Medeama defender Nurudeen Abdulai for the upcoming crucial clashes against Madagascar and Comoros in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Nurudeen Abdulai, who played a pivotal role in Medeama’s title-winning campaign during the 2022-23 Ghana Premier League season, garnered over thirty appearances and scored three goals. His contributions earned him four Man of the Match awards, highlighting his significance to the team.
Recognized by the Black Stars technical team for his talent, Nurudeen Abdulai is seen as a potential solution to the team’s defensive challenges.
The defender, who has already made 10 appearances in the new season, has been called upon to bolster the team’s defensive lineup in lieu of Rayo Vallecano.
The Ghana Black Stars will kick off their campaign by hosting Madagascar at the Baba Yara Stadium on November 17 before heading to Moroni for an encounter with Comoros.
