Dean Henderson has officially completed a permanent transfer from Manchester United to fellow Premier League outfit Crystal Palace.
At 26 years old, Henderson’s departure marks the conclusion of a twelve-year tenure with Manchester United.
During his time with the club, he amassed a wealth of experience, including loan spells with five different teams, including Stockport County, Grimsby Town, Shrewsbury Town, Sheffield United, and Nottingham Forest.
Henderson’s journey with Manchester United began when he joined their youth system at the age of 11, eventually rising through the ranks to become one of the many Academy graduates who earned a place in the first team.
Henderson made his United debut against Luton Town in our 3-0 Carabao Cup fourth-round triumph back in September 2020 and stated after the game: “I dreamt about this my whole life.”
Subsequently, he followed up his debut performance for the Reds with a second appearance in our Carabao Cup fifth-round match against Brighton. Once again, he maintained a clean sheet in a convincing 3-0 victory over Brighton.
Dean Henderson’s overall contributions included a total of 22 appearances for the club, encompassing six matches in European competitions, spanning both the UEFA Champions League and Europa League.
