Hearts of Oak, Asante Kotoko and Inter Allies FC ranked among top African clubs with digital approach

Asante Kotoko SC, Hearts of Oak and Inter Allies FC have been ranked among top sides in African Football Digital Benchmark list for the month of April.

The trio are the only Ghanaian sides in the Top 100 ranked football clubs on the continent with growing numbers in the digital community.

The rankings were done based on the followers, likes and subscribers to the club’s Facebook, Twitter, Periscope, LinkedIn and YouTube channels.

Asante Kotoko came 27th with a total of 402,000 followers from all the digital platforms.

Hearts of Oak are ranked 28th on the continent with a total of 382, 000 followership on all digital communities.

Inter Allies FC, even though less fancied in Africa came 66th on the rankings with 100,000 followers on all platforms.

Egyptian giants Al Ahly SC and Zamalek SC are the top two clubs followed by Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca.

Tanzanian side Simba SC made the top 10 for the very first time in their history.

The rankings were done by Digital Sports Africa, a subsidiary of Result Sports in Germany.

Result Sports is a global digital media platform enabling mobile, social and web opportunities for football clubs, leagues, federations and athletes.
