A year after Poland forward Robert Lewandowski moved to La Liga champions Barcelona, Bayern Munich has finally secured his replacement at the Bundesliga club.
The decision of Harry Kane to join the Bayern Munich is regarded as one of the most significant transfers of the summer, a move that has pleased Lewandowski, who used to play for the same team.
As per SB Nation, Lewandowski, who holds multiple records at Bayern Munich, has provided three pieces of advice to Kane to aid his success with the Bundesliga champions.
He also appealed to the fans to exercise patience with the new forward.
“It’s a big transfer for Bayern and for the whole Bundesliga. He’s a great striker. The Bundesliga is not an easy league. He definitely needs a bit of time, for the culture, the language, for everything.”
Kane has had a good start to life in Germany, scoring once and providing an assist in his first Bundesliga game as Bayern Munich won 4-0 against Werder Bremen last weekend.
Kane missing from Bayern photoshoot
Meanwhile, Harry Kane missed Bayern Munich’s annual Lederhosen photoshoot as his teammates swapped their jerseys for the local attire traditionally worn during Munich’s Oktoberfest, GOAL reports.
Bayern confirmed that the 30-year-old forward was absent due to his wife Kate giving birth to their fourth child, named Henry Edward Kane, which the forward posted on his social media pages.
Kane made his debut for Bayern last weekend against Werder Bremen, scoring on his first appearance for the Bavarian club.
Kane tipped for Lewandowski’s record
Earlier, Sports Brief reported Harry Kane netted his first Bayern Munich goal in the Bavarians’ 4-0 victory against Werder Bremen in his first Bundesliga game, prompting high praise from Lothar Matthaus.
Bayern Munich struggled to replace Robert Lewandowski last season after the Poland forward joined Barcelona, as the Germans struggled to retain the Bundesliga title on the final day.
Matthaus – a legend of the club – has tipped Kane to adequately replace Lewandowski with his goals this season, an area where the Bavarians were lacking last season.
