Harry Kane expecting to remain at Tottenham after Bayern Munich’s third failed transfer bid

Harry Kane is believed to be inclined towards remaining at Tottenham following the decline of Bayern Munich’s third bid for his transfer, with his sentiments influenced by his positive impression of new head coach Ange Postecoglou’s philosophy.

Bayern Munich had made successive offers of £70 million ($90.2 million) and £80 million ($103.3 million) for the England captain, whose contract extends until 2024.

However, Tottenham rebuffed these attempts, including the latest bid of £86 million ($110 million) put forward by the Bundesliga team on Monday.

According to the Evening Standard, the 30-year-old is now gearing up to continue with Spurs for the upcoming season, drawn by his appreciation for the coaching approach of Ange Postecoglou, the newly appointed head coach, and his satisfaction with the training sessions conducted under the Australian’s guidance.

Although Bayern Munich is said to be contemplating an improved offer for Kane, their most recent proposal is reported to fall considerably short of Tottenham’s valuation for their top goal scorer.

Expressing his desire for a swift resolution to his future, Kane has indicated that he wishes to have clarity before the commencement of the season, set to start this weekend.

If no advancements are made, it is likely that he will feature in the match against Brentford on Sunday.

The question of whether Kane will commit to a new contract remains unanswered, particularly after earlier reports suggested he turned down contract extension offers from Tottenham earlier in the summer.

As the pre-season campaign comes to a close, Kane is not among the Spurs squad travelling to Spain for a friendly match against Barcelona on Tuesday, August 8.
