AC Milan forward Olivier Giroud is currently engaged in negotiations with LAFC regarding a potential transfer this upcoming summer, as per sources familiar with the situation shared with ESPN’s Julien Laurens and Jeff Carlisle.
While Giroud, whose contract with Milan is set to expire this summer, has also explored opportunities with other MLS teams, he is particularly interested in joining LAFC and is hopeful that an agreement can be reached, according to the same source.
It’s worth noting that LAFC holds Giroud’s discovery rights within MLS, giving them priority should he decide to move to the league. Other clubs interested in signing him will also need to engage in negotiations with the Los Angeles-based club.
Additionally, ahead of the 2024 season, LAFC secured the signing of Giroud’s longtime France teammate Hugo Lloris.
