Ghanaian footballer Abdul Aziz Issah recently had the opportunity to meet his idol, Lamine Yamal, after training with Barcelona’s first team for the first time.
Issah, who is currently on a season-long loan with Barca Atletic from Dreams FC, trained alongside fellow Ghanaian David Oduro.
Prior to being invited by Barcelona manager Hansi Flick, Issah had expressed admiration for Yamal’s style of play, which he has tried to emulate.
The 2024 CAF Confederation Cup standout hopes to make a lasting impression at Barcelona and secure a permanent move.
Issah had the chance to meet and train with his idol, 17-year-old Lamine Yamal, at Barcelona’s training facility.
The promising forward, a key player for Ghana’s U20 African Games-winning squad, is currently on loan to Barcelona’s reserve side, Barca Atletic, and aims to secure a permanent move.
Though he has yet to make his Barcelona B debut, his performance during first-team training has increased his chances of earning opportunities in the senior team as the season progresses.
