Emmanuel Oblitey, a football hero from Ghana, has passed away at the age of 89.
On Sunday at the Joy Specialist Medical Clinic, Oblitey passed away.
He took part in all three games while a member of Ghana’s first AFCON winning team in 1963.
In the men’s football competition in the 1964 Summer Olympics, Oblitey took part.
At the club level, he spent time with Real Republikans, Olympians, and the 1961 European tour of the Black Stars team.
He is survived by seven children.
