Following his £48 million ($62 million) transfer from Inter to Old Trafford during the summer transfer window, the Cameroonian goalkeeper, Andre Onana wasted no time getting started.
He showcased his exceptional distribution skills in his initial series of pre-season matches.
Onana also grabbed attention when he was observed rushing out of his goal to express his displeasure with teammate Maguire during a friendly against Dortmund.
Nevertheless, Martinez views this incident as a natural part of football and believes there’s no issue with Onana’s reactions.
“It’s better for [it], it’s better for [it]. If you are focused, you can fight with your teammates as well, you need to make sure everyone is really sharp, but nothing happened. It’s part of football,” commented the United centre-back.
Martinez has a history of playing alongside Onana during their shared time at Ajax.
He lauded the goalkeeper for his “big personality” and expressed his confidence in Onana’s ability to excel at the highest level with Manchester United.
