Ebusua Dwarfs to continue training despite ban on public gatherings

Ebusua Dwarfs head coach Ernest Thompson Quartey says his team will still remain in camp and continue training as they fight for relegation following the suspension of the league.

The Ghana Football Association has suspended all its competitions with immediate effect until further notice following following the directives given by the President of the Republic on Sunday.

Dwarfs currently lie in the relegation zone with 15 points, just one point above safety after a 1-1 stalemate with Eleven Wonders in match week 15.

“We are so worried about not getting our 3 points at home this weekend due to the suspension of the league which will definitely enhance us from our position after getting a draw at Techiman last weekend, But it paramount looking at the national interest,” coach Quartey told Kumasi based OTEC Fm.

“This outbreak comes with a lot of advantages and disadvantages because it has brought down activities but we (Ebusua Dwarfs) will still continue with our training sessions because we have a lot to achieve.

He added, “With or without COVID -19, we will still work harder for a proper position on the league log when it resumes but we will put in measures which will prevent our players from affecting that disease (COVID-19).”
