Diego Maradona’s son contends that “they killed my father”; pledges to seek justice

Diego Armando Maradona Junior, the son of the late Argentine football legend Diego Maradona, has asserted his belief that his father did not die from natural causes.

Maradona’s demise occurred in November 2020, officially attributed to heart failure and pulmonary edema, according to the medical reports shared with the family.

“There is an open investigation. We, his children, have a lot of faith in Argentine justice. I’m convinced that this should not have ended like this,” he told Mediaset.

“They killed my father. It is not my job to say who did it, I have my own idea but I can’t say it. They left him to his fate when something could have been done. I made a promise: until the last day of my life, I’ll fight for justice.”

The son’s accusations have generated interest in his father’s dying circumstances online and garnered traction on numerous social media platforms.

He promised to dedicate his life to fighting for justice, even though he could not officially charge anyone.
