Ghana Premier League giants, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, have announced the signing of midfielder, Rashid Nortey, after his departure from Medeama SC earlier this week.
The 27-year-old joins the reigning Ghanaian champions on a two-and-a-half-year deal as a free agent player.
The Porcupine Warriors announced the signing of the former Medeama SC captain on Wednesday in a statement on their website.
“Midfielder Rashid Nortey has signed for Asante Kotoko as a free player,” the statement said.
“Rashid has penned two and a half-deal after running down his contract with Medeama SC.
“Rashid comes with enormous quality and experience and will only improve our team to help us achieve our targets this season.
“We welcome our new signing and wish him all the best.”
The experienced midfielder cut his relationship with the Tarkwa-based side after a six-year spell.
Nortey will add a lot of quality to the midfield of Asante Kotoko and could help turn the fortunes of Asante Kotoko around in the ongoing season.
