Daniel Amartey among the lowest earners at Leicester

Ghana defender Daniel Amartey has emerged as one of the lowest earners of at English Premier League outfit Leicester City.

The towering defender receives £21,000 a week wage, which places him above only three players at the club.

Amartey is ahead of Danny Ward (£20,000), Harvey Barnes ( £10,00) and Hamza Choudhury ( £7,5000).

Meanwhile, forward Jamie Vardy is the club’s top earner with £140,000 per week. He is followed by goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, who takes £130,000 per week.

Amartey has struggled in recent times at the club, following an injury that ruled him out for almost a year.

His return was met by the outbreak of COVID-19, however, the English topflight returns next month.
