Otto Addo who has recently been appointed head coach of the senior national team, Black Stars, has named a 26-man provisional squad for the friendlies in the upcoming international break.
There are five new players in the squad and among them is Asante Kotoko’s Frederick Asare. The other four are Bolivia-based David Akologo, who has also been invited to the Bolivia national team, Lorient’s Nathaniel Adjei, Mohammed Diomande of Rangers and Nordsjaelland’s Ibrahim Osman.
Tariq Lamptey is also making a return to the squad after his return from a long-term injury. He missed the AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire due to his injury. Leicester City winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has also made it to the provisional squad.
Ghana is set to face Nigeria on March and Uganda four days later.
