Black Maidens coach axes eight from camp ahead of 2020 FIFA U17 WWCup qualfiers

The Black Maidens technical team has trimmed down the squad size in camp after releasing eight players for being over-aged and lacking quality.

According to a publication by NB Sports, they decision was taken ahead of Thursday’s friendly against an Accra Select side at the McDan La Town Park in Accra.

Two goalkeepers Safiatu Salifu and Elizabeth Ayitey (Immigrations Ladies) have been sent home.

Three defenders-Sarah Ohene Nyamekye (FC Savanah Ladies), Abigail Amoah (FC Savanah Ladies) and Esther Anane- failed to make the cut.

The rest are Eunice Pentey (Valued Girls) , Sophia Agyaakwa (Halifax Ladies), and Mary Awuah Boateng (Soccer Intellectuals).

Black Maidens are preparing for the 2020 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifier.
