Herbert Hainer has communicated to Real Madrid that his club has no intention of selling Alphonso Davies, a player Los Blancos are eager to acquire next summer.
Real Madrid’s pursuit of Davies has intensified in recent months, and there are reports suggesting they are contemplating meeting Bayern’s €50 million (£43m/$54m) asking price to secure the left-back for Santiago Bernabeu.
However, Bayern Munich is hesitant to part ways with one of their key players, as Davies holds a crucial role within the team.
Carlo Ancelotti, the manager of Real Madrid, is actively seeking reinforcements for the left-back position due to Ferland Mendy’s fitness concerns and Fran Garcia’s lack of convincing performances.
Alphonso Davies has emerged as a primary target, especially since the player’s agent has indicated his openness to a move away from Germany before his contract expires in 2025.
Davies has played a pivotal role for Bayern Munich this season, featuring in 10 of the 11 Bundesliga games and contributing three assists under the management of Thomas Tuchel.
Real Madrid is also eyeing another full-back for the upcoming summer, with reported interest in Chelsea captain Reece James as a potential long-term successor to Dani Carvajal.
While Davies is contracted until 2025, the possibility of a move before then cannot be entirely ruled out. Regardless, he appears set to maintain a regular role in Thomas Tuchel’s plans for Bayern Munich.
