Bayern Munich has officially announced that Sadio Mane is currently in discussions regarding his departure from the club, and a move to Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr is close to being finalized.
The 31-year-old is set to leave the Allianz Arena after spending just one season with Bayern.
As a result of inconsistent form, injury troubles, and a well-known dressing room altercation with teammate Leroy Sane, Mane’s time at Bayern turned into a nightmare campaign.
To facilitate his potential move to Al-Nassr, Mane was not included in Bayern’s squad for the friendly match against Kawasaki Frontale in Japan.
In a tweet with including their line-up for the friendly against Kawasaki Frontale, Bayern wrote: “Sadio Mans is in contract talks about a change of club and is therefore not in the squad today.”
The attacker is now set for a medical with the Saudi Pro League club after a deal was agreed between the two clubs, and the transfer will likely be announced in due course.
