Atletico Madrid seals of deal with Man City for Álvarez – Source

Manchester City and Atltico Madrid have reached an agreement for the transfer of striker Julián Álvarez, according to a source.

The LaLiga club is set to pay up to €95 million ($104 million) for the Argentine forward, with €75 million as a fixed fee and an additional €20 million based on performance-related bonuses.

This transfer marks the highest departure fee in City’s history and yields a substantial profit from the £14 million they spent to sign Álvarez from River Plate in January 2022.

Sources have revealed that although Álvarez has yet to finalize personal terms with Atlético, it is expected to be a mere formality.
