Arsenal, along with several other European teams, express a strong interest in securing the services of Real Sociedad midfielder Martín Zubimendi, as reported by Mundo Deportivo.
Although Real Sociedad anticipated a quiet winter transfer window, interest in the Spanish international has intensified, particularly due to the 24-year-old’s €60 million release clause.
The Gunners, previously linked to Zubimendi during the summer, are reportedly among the top Premier League sides eyeing the midfielder. Manager Mikel Arteta sees Zubimendi as an ideal addition to the midfield.
However, despite the growing interest, Zubimendi faces a potential dilemma as he is set to participate in the UEFA Champions League knockout stages with Real Sociedad against Paris Saint-Germain next month.
This raises the possibility of a challenging decision should his release clause be activated.
Zubimendi showcased his scoring prowess in the recent 1-1 LaLiga draw with Alavés, marking his 19th league appearance of the season. Additionally, he played a key role in Spain’s recent European Championship qualifying matches in November.
