Bibiani Gold Stars were held to a 1 -1 draw by Medeama SC on match week seven of the Ghana Premier League on Wednesday.
Ibrahim Laar cancelled out Kwasi Donsu’s early strike to secure a point for the home side in the Western derby.
Gold Stars failed to build on their impressive away win against Samartex at DUN’s Park.
Medeama took the lead through Kwesi Donsu in the 13th minute of the game. Fordjour dribbled past his marker and sent a nice through-pass to Donsu who neatly placed it past the goalkeeper.
Bibiani Gold Stars equalised in the 37th minute of the game courtesy of Ibrahim Laar’s strike.
The goal was Laar’s third goal of the season for Bibiani Gold Stars.
After the recess, few chances were created, however, neither team could snatch all three points.
The draw lifts Bibiani Gold Stars to 7th on the league standings while Medeama also move up to 13th.
