United States youth international (USYNT) Adrian Simon Gill is participating in training sessions with FC Barcelona’s first team, during the September FIFA International break,
The 17-year-old Miami-born footballer, who has represented U.S. soccer at various youth levels, shared his experience on Instagram, where he was observed competing alongside Spanish internationals Marcos Alonso and Ferran Torres.
Gill initially joined the renowned La Masia academy in 2018 and in 2022, he extended his association with the Catalan giants by signing a new three-year contract.
His goal is to become the third American to earn a first-team appearance with Barcelona, following in the footsteps of Konrad De La Fuente and Sergino Dest.
Additionally, fellow USYNT international Diego Kochen was among the 27 players selected for Barcelona’s 2023/24 UEFA Champions League roster.
At just 17 years old, he aims to further establish himself this season and is striving for an opportunity to feature in the first team under the guidance of head coach Xavi.
