Nigerians divided over Banky W loss

Nigerians are divided over the loss of musician turned politician, Olubankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, in the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency seat race.

While a section of the Nigerian populace who sympathised with Banky W believe he deserved the seat, others also contended that Mr Wellington did not secure the seat because he was not affiliated with the Labour Party.

Taking to Twitter, some Nigerians shared their opinion on the matter.

“Seriously Banky W deserves to win this election for the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency seat but the love Lagosians have for LP caused him to lose to Thaddeus Attah of Labour Party, a South East man for that matter,” one tweep said.
