Capsized boat off Djibouti Coast kills 16, 28 missing

Sixteen people have died and 28 others are missing after a boat carrying 77 passengers capsized off the coast of Djibouti.

This is the second incident of its kind in two weeks, according to the United Nations migration agency.

The boat was carrying children as well, reported the International Organization for Migration (IOM) on social media.

Rescue efforts are being assisted by the IOM’s office in Djibouti.

This incident follows another shipwreck two weeks ago, where at least 38 people, including children, lost their lives off the Djibouti coast.
