Sheikh I.C Quaye no longer Chairman of National Hajj Board

Following the reconstitution of the National Hajj Board, Sheik Ibrahim Cudjoe (I.C.) Quaye ceases to serve as its Chairman.

Imams and Muslim Chiefs from all over the country who were concerned about his removal urged President Akufo-Addo to reinstate him.

Since becoming Chairman, they claimed, he has led Ghanaian pilgrims on immaculate, trouble-free Hajj pilgrimages.

However, the President’s newly established Board made it clear that he was no longer in charge since Ben Abdallah Banda, a former member from the Offinso South Constituency, had been appointed as a substitute.

Other members who have been axed from the Board include Abdul Malik Adams Gariba, Kamal-Deen Abdula, Ismaela Ibrahim, Mohammed Osmanu Alidu, Braimah Adams and Dr.Mohammed Ibrahim Mohammed.

The new Board now chaired by Alhaji Ben Abdallah Banda has the following members; Habib Iddrisu, Hajia Safia Mohammed, Chief Saddique Jimala III, Sheikh Amin Bonsu, Alhaji Inusah Amadau, Osumanu Yunusah,Mohammed Ibrahim Mohammed, Seidu Zakaria Abdul Rahman Alhassan Gomda, Alhaji Musah Akambonga and Hajia Azara Haroun.
