Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, has stated that the New Patriotic Party‘s (NPP) educational change should motivate Ghanaians to vote for the party again in the 2024 general election.
According to him, the electorate must examine the NPP’s achievements in the education sector in order to retain the party in power for another eight years.
“So what I am saying to Ghanaians is that they should look at the educational sector and what we are doing. You might not be happy with other sectors of the government, but consider the progress in education,” he added.
Speaking to the media, the Member of Parliament for Bosomtwe in the Ashanti region stated that the implementation of initiatives like free senior high school education, free Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), the promotion of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), as well as the transformation of junior high school education, deserves recognition from the people.
“If other sectors haven’t done well, forgive us and consider education. Help us to continue to change Ghana,” Dr. Adutwum stressed.
