The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has appointed Arnold Mashud as the new Director of Elections for the Northern Region, following deliberations by the party’s Conflict Resolution Directorate and the Functional Executive Committee (FEC).
In a statement dated Wednesday, June 19, 2024, the NDC revealed that an appeal had been lodged regarding the appointment of Mr. Aminu Mohammed Adam, the former Director of Elections for the region.
After a thorough review, the Conflict Resolution Directorate recommended Mr. Aminu Mohammed Adam step aside.
“The FEC deliberated extensively on the issue during its meeting on April 23, 2023, and endorsed the Directorate’s decision”.
“As a result, Mr Arnold Mashud has been appointed to fill the position of Director of Elections for the Northern Region”.
Consequently, Mr. Arnold Mashud has been appointed to assume the role of Director of Elections for the Northern Region.
The NDC expressed optimism that members and stakeholders in the region would collaborate with Mr. Mashud to advance the party’s prospects in the upcoming elections.
The party underscored the significance of unity and efficient coordination in achieving their electoral objectives in the region.
