Kudus, Partey lead Black Stars to NHIA

The senior national football team, the Black Stars, has praised the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) for its decision to fund dialysis treatment in Ghana, marking the authority’s 20th anniversary.

Led by Thomas Partey, the team visited to congratulate Dr. Aboagye on his new role and to express their appreciation for the NHIA’s efforts in enhancing healthcare benefits.

The Black Stars thanked the NHIA for the improved health benefits and pledged to collaborate with the authority to promote wellness and healthy habits through sports and exercise. They emphasized the importance of this partnership in fostering a healthier community.

Dr. Aboagye, in turn, thanked the team for their support and encouraged them to become advocates for the NHIA and the broader health sector. He also extended his best wishes to the Black Stars for their upcoming World Cup qualification matches.

The Black Stars are scheduled to play against the Eagles of Mali in Bamako on Thursday, June 6, 2024, as part of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Matchday three qualifiers.
