Ghanaian man embarks on longest walking marathon from Techiman to Accra

Seidu Rafiwu, a young Ghanaian man, embarked on an ambitious journey on Friday, starting his longest walking marathon (Walkathon) from Techiman in the Bono East Region with the goal of reaching Accra.

The journey began precisely at 8 am, with Seidu aiming to cover the considerable distance between the two cities on foot.

Accompanied by a group of supporters who provided encouragement along the way, Seidu’s determination was evident as he set out on this challenging expedition.

Additionally, an ambulance accompanied the entourage to ensure that medical attention could be provided if necessary, underscoring the importance of safety during such endeavors.

Seidu’s endeavor is part of a larger trend in Ghana, where citizens are increasingly attempting to break Guinness World Records. While not all attempts have been successful, the spirit of determination and the drive to achieve remarkable feats remain strong among Ghanaians.

In a video that has since gone viral, Seidu’s journey has captured the attention and admiration of many, showcasing the resilience and determination of the Ghanaian spirit.
