Bolt driver and passenger fistfight over trip that cost GHS1

A physical altercation between a Bolt driver and a passenger, sparked by a disagreement over the cost of the ride, has gone viral on social media.

According to the details provided alongside the video, the Bolt driver successfully transported the passenger to their destination, and the online system generated a bill of GH¢1 for the journey upon arrival. It is unknown the distance covered.

However, the driver expressed dissatisfaction with the amount and requested a higher fare than what was initially indicated on the app.

The passenger, on the other hand, firmly stood their ground and insisted on paying only the price displayed on the app. He argued that if the app had shown an exorbitant fare of $1 million upon reaching the destination, the driver would have readily accepted it.

Unfortunately, tensions quickly escalated, and both the driver and the passenger engaged in a physical altercation, exchanging heated blows.

Per comments from social media users, some consumers have the ability to rig the ride-hailing ride and are able to reduce their fare to as little as GH¢1.
