Prophet Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Kumchacha and founder of Heaven’s Gate Ministry, expressed worry regarding the common use of smartphones in churches.
The religious leader highlighted a disconcerting trend of congregants accessing explicit content, attributing the shift from physical Bibles to digital devices as a contributing factor.
Prophet Kumchacha lamented the decline in the presence of traditional Bibles during church services, noting that smartphones have inadvertently become a gateway to pornography within the sacred space.
During the interview, he shared his dismay, asserting, “Now people don’t come to church with Bibles. All they come along with is their phones. You’ll be shocked to note that while you ask for quotations, people will be watching pornography on their phones.”
Emphasising the importance of vigilance and discernment among worshippers, Prophet Kumchacha cautioned against engaging in activities inconsistent with the sanctity of the church environment.
Despite acknowledging the technological advancements of the modern world, he stressed the significance of upholding moral standards and preserving the sacredness of religious gatherings.
