Ghanaian rapper and singer, Kwesi Arthur has decided to break his silence on X over the constant association with socialite and singer, Efia Odo, and he has expressed his displeasure.
Efia Odo, while never directly confirming a romantic relationship with Kwesi Arthur, had often hinted at a close and affectionate bond between them in the past.
However, in recent years, the narrative has shifted. Whenever Kwesi Arthur’s name came up in Efia Odo’s interviews, her tone turned sour, and she spoke of the rapper with clear disdain.
Once his biggest supporter, Efia Odo has since distanced herself, admitting that her admiration for the artist has completely faded.
In a candid conversation on the ‘Rants, Bants and Confessions’ podcast, she revealed that Kwesi Arthur had done things that deeply hurt her, ultimately leading to the breakdown of their friendship.
Expressing the extent of the pain he caused her, Efia Odo shared…“Yes, I was once supporting him but you know Kwesi did some hurtful things to me. I don’t want to say it here because I respect him as a person. If I was to say the things he did to me, it would really dirty his image. When everything ended, I stopped the support, because why will I keep supporting someone who has f*cked me over?”
She continued, “It’s so funny that when he and I stopped being friends, and he left his label, Ground Up, that’s when his career dwindled, and they gave me this tag as bad luck.”
These statements appeared to be the last trigger, as the rapper, in a series of rants on X, lambasted Efia Odo and threatened legal action against anyone who discusses or uses him for clout henceforth.
“I’ve been silent for too long. It’s disheartening to see so many people oblivious to someone constantly using my name for clout, a storyline and attention with allegations and scenarios. You retweet things about me, tweet about me and mention my name and past scenarios in every interview when you know I don’t fw you and haven’t spoken to you in years. Wtf.
“Not speaking again on this matter. Anything else said about me will be discussed with my lawyer and handled in court. Stop playing with me,” parts of his tweets read.
At a point, he directed the rants at his colleagues for condoning and enabling Efia Odo to constantly throw dirt on his name.
“Also, all of you artistes and so-called ‘colleagues’ that see what this girl keeps doing to me to ruin my reputation and still be posting up with her like it’s all good, fuck y’all,” he added.
