GWR: Another Ghanaian announces a 5-day bake-a-thon

Ghanaian actress Gifty Kodia is set to attempt a groundbreaking feat by breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest baking marathon.

The event, scheduled from November 25 to 30, 2024, will take place at Legon Mall, where Gifty plans to bake nonstop for an impressive 120 hours.

The current record, achieved by Irish chef Alan Fisher in Japan last year, stands at 47 hours, 21 minutes, and 21 seconds.

Gifty’s attempt not only showcases her passion for baking but also seeks to bring global attention to Ghana’s culinary talents. She applied for the challenge in November 2023 and received approval in mid-2024.

Fans and baking lovers are encouraged to join the event to support Gifty as she strives to make history.
