Ayra Starr announces hit track ‘Rush’ under consideration for Grammy nomination

Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has proudly revealed that her popular hit single “Rush” is being considered for a potential Grammy nomination.

This is a remarkable milestone for the emerging Afro-pop sensation.

Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, October 11, Ayra Starr conveyed her joy and appreciation for the recognition extended by the Grammys.

“I am excited and honored that my song “Rush” off my debut album 19&Dangerious deluxe is being considered for this year’s #GRAMMY Awards!” the tweet read.

“Rush” appeared on Ayra Starr’s debut album 19 & Dangerous, which was released in 2021 under Mavin Records.

The captivating breakup song, “Rush,” significantly propelled the young artist into the mainstream, garnering both critical acclaim and millions of online streams.

The fact that “Rush” is being considered for a Grammy nomination is a testament to Ayra Starr’s remarkable talent and her potential to shine on the global stage.

At the age of just 21, she stands out as one of Nigeria’s most promising new artists.
