Black Stars coach Otto Addo is expected to face a delay in his arrival in Ghana for the upcoming matches against Mali and the Central African Republic.
Reports indicate that Addo plans to attend the UEFA Champions League final before joining the Black Stars squad.
According to Angel FM, Addo is considering being with the Dortmund delegation at the Champions League final, which occurs just before the Black Stars’ engagements.
Ghana is scheduled to play against Mali in Bamako on June 6, followed by a home game against the Central African Republic at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on June 10.
The Champions League final is set for Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Wembley Stadium in the UK, featuring a match between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.
Addo’s Dortmund will be facing the 14-time champions.
Borussia Dortmund held an official send-off for Otto Addo on April 18, 2024.
While initial reports suggested his arrival in Ghana this week, Angel FM now reports that he may first attend the Champions League final.
It is expected that Otto Addo will soon announce the squad for the two World Cup qualifying matches.
