Christopher Nkunku signs deal with Chelsea

Christopher Nkunku’s signing to Chelsea from RB Leipzig has been “confirmed” by transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano.

Romano reportedly gave the “here we go” signal, indicating that the Blues have everything finalized and that he is now officially a member of the Chelsea team.

Although it is still unknown when announcements will be made, it seems like only a matter of time until the club itself confirms the relocation.

Despite owner and acting sporting director Todd Boehly’s opposition, Nkunku will go to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2023.

Despite Armando Broja’s severe injury, which will keep him out of action for the remainder of the season and leave the team lacking in the offensive department.

If a chance arises, Chelsea will consider its striker alternatives in the January transfer window, but Nkunku won’t be there.

With 12 goals and two assists in just 15 Bundesliga games this season, the 25-year-old brings an impressive resume to the team.

Nkunku has also contributed to four goals in the Champions League, and his versatility as a creator and striker makes him a dangerous player to have.

He will be hopeful that his form will continue when he makes a comeback after missing the World Cup with France due to a ruptured knee ligament last month.

In an interview with French television broadcaster Telefoot earlier this season, as quoted by GFFN, the highly sought-after forward broke his silence regarding his next step: “It’s no secret. There are clubs interested in me. Yes it’s flattering, but it’s also flattering to have a club like Leipzig do everything to keep me as well.

“I’ll have to reflect well and make a decision. The World Cup is on the way and that’s another factor to take into account.”
