Cameroon captain Vincent Aboubakar criticizes Liverpool star Mohamed Salah for the second time

Cameroon striker Vincent Aboubakar says the only difference between him and Mohamed Salah is the Egyptian star getting the chance to ‘play in a big club’.

Before the AFCON 2021 semifinal clash between Cameroon and Egypt in February this year, the 30-year-old had hit out at the Egypt international.

Aboubakar, who currently plies his trade in Saudi Arabia at Al-Nassr is not impressed with Salah despite his exploits for club and country.

And he has bizarrely doubled down on his criticism of the Reds winger, who has banged in 14 goals from 20 games this season.

The 2017 AFCON winner has declared that he would be able to score just as much as Salah if he was playing for a top European club.

He told 90football.fr: “I understand people’s attitudes, he’s one of the best goalscorers in the Premier League.

“It makes sense that when you go on about a player like that, people will talk.

 

“But I did say that it was my opinion, my point of view.

“I don’t give a toss if people don’t like it – I’m not impressed by him.

“I can do what he does. I just don’t have the opportunity to play in a big club.”

Since making the move to Merseyside in 2017, Salah has banged in 170 goals to leave him eighth in the club’s all-time scoring charts – two behind Kenny Dalglish.
