Tullow HR mentees urged to impacts knowledge

Mrs Irene Asare, the Director, Human Resource (HR) and Business Services, Tullow Ghana has urged graduates of Tullow HR Mentoring programme to make positive use of the knowledge acquired and impact it in their various organizations.

She urged the graduates to harness and integrate their skills to be change ambassadors in their organizations for quality delivery.

Mrs Asare gave the advice in Accra at the graduation ceremony of the Tullow HR Mentoring programme.

The programme was organized by Tullow Ghana in collaboration with the Institute of Human Resources Management Practitioners (IHRMP), Ghana.

The 24-mentees went through one-year intensive capacity building programme to develop and strengthen human resource management practices in the country.

The programme brought together senior level of human resource practitioners across the country to nurture and imbibe experiential learning geared at knowledge, skills and behaviours to enable them impact their organizations positively.

Mrs Asare said the programme was part of her legacy as professionals to contribute to the development of the industry.

She said human resource plays an important role in the development of any organizations, adding that the training would enhance their communication and leadership skills to improve quality service.

She urged them to be focus and adopt new strategies to shape and inform Sterling careers in human resource management.

Mr Austin Gamey, a facilitator for the programme charged the mentees to serve as mentors in their organizations and contribute their experience to the success of the profession.

Mr Edward Kwarpong, the President, IHRMP said business excellence across the globe was driven by the influence of human resource professionals, hence the need for the mentoring programme for the mentees to excel in their profession.

The mentees were presented with certificates and plaque for their participation.

Mrs Fafa Gbeho, a participant won the best leadership skills award and the HR Mentoring special award, while Ms Priscilla Agyekum came runner-up for the HR Mentoring special award.

Mr Marcus Okine emerged the most interactive participant while Ms Florence Aflakpui won the most time conscious and dedicated participant.
