Assistant coach of Asante Kotoko, David Ocloo, has stated that there is no ‘pressure’ on the technical team despite the team’s recent defeat in the Ghana Premier League.
The Porcupine Warriors suffered their fifth defeat in their last six games on Thursday evening, losing to Nsoatreman at the Baba Yara Stadium on matchday 25. Mohammed Abdul Rahaman’s late winner sealed all three points for Maxwell Konadu’s side and extended Kotoko’s winless run to six games in the league.
While fans have begun to question the future of the coaching staff at the club, Ocloo remains confident that the technical team will be able to turn things around.
“When things are not going well, who do they blame? It’s always the technical team. We will take it in good faith, we are still working and we will turn things around,” he said.
“We are a work in progress, there is no pressure on us. We just have to go back and work hard, and try to turn things around.”
The challenge ahead doesn’t get any easier for Kotoko, as they are set to face Dreams FC, Samartex, and Medeama in their next three league games.
