The North Londoners suffered a 5-0 defeat in the first half thanks to goals from Jacob Murphy and summer acquisition Alexander Isak just before Joelinton’s goal.
Following Harry Kane’s goal in the second half, a resounding victory was sealed when Calum Wilson, an English striker who had been on the bench, scored on his first touch.

Former Tottenham full-back Danny Rose has been without a club since his contract was mutually terminated at Watford last September, according to Mirror UK.
He was in utter disbelief at the scoreline and berated his former club and some of his former colleagues for putting up such a mediocre performance.
Rose questions Tottenham players
The 32-year-old was on Spurs’ payroll for 14 years and spent a half-season on loan at Newcastle United in 2020. He was part of the Lilywhite’s squad that reached the 2019 UEFA Champions League final.
He bemoaned the many defensive mistakes from Cristian Stellini’s side and questioned how his former side is still viewed as a massive club with such a scandalous performance.
”All I’ve been thinking all first half is how am I unemployed?,” he told Sky Sports.
The Leeds United academy product admitted to not watching football in a long time, including the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup, claiming he missed the atmosphere and is up for one more job.
Another of Rose’s former teammates that are not finding things easy at the moment is English midfielder Dele Alli, who is on loan at Besiktas from Everton.
The two-time PFA young player of the year was shipped out of Tottenham last January but was deemed surplus to requirements at Everton, who loaned him to Besiktas.
Besiktas fans booed Alli after he was substituted in the first half of a game, but the 26-year-old professed his love for football which he claimed saved his life.
