Schalke want to re-sign Paderborn star Bernard Tekpetey

Schalke 04 are interested in re-signing Ghana international Bernard Tekpetey who they sold to SC Paderborn 07 in the summer.

Joining the Bundesliga 2 side on a permanent deal, Tekpetey has been a delight to watch in the German second tier.

The offensive midfielder has bagged 7 goals and 3 assists in 17 league appearances and has also become the fans’ favourite.

As a sign of regret on the side of Schalke 04 who are currently lying 13th on the Bundesliga table, the Royal Blues want to activate the buyback clause on the 21-year-old.

It is unknown at the moment whether Paderborn would like to consider to transfer Tekpetey back to Schalke.

Tekpetey has a contract with Paderborn which runs until June, 2021.
