Rudi Garcia’s termination as Al-Nassr coach has drawn criticism for being the direct result of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Less than a year after assuming the position of head coach of the Riyadh-based team, the French strategist, 59, is apparently being let go.
According to Sportskeeda, the hierarchy of the club have run out of patience with the manager following the team’s slump in form, which was worsened by their recent stalemate against Al-Feiha.
Fans call out Ronaldo
Following Garcia’s sack, Ronaldo has been blamed by social media users for masterminding the exit of the Frenchman.
@bhoslec2 slammed Ronaldo for ‘ruining Al-Nassr’:
“Penaldo joined Al Nassr, and now they aren’t top of the table, and the blame is now on the coach Ronaldo ruined Al Nassr.”
@Pulga_Disciple wrote:
“This guy is legit a virus to any team that wants to progress, but people are not ready for the conversation.”
@Wilsonjay4582 added:
“Penaldo is a poison to teams and coaches. How can a player think he is bigger than his coach?”

@BarcaNana1 called Ronaldo out in his comment:
“Biggest crybaby in football. No wonder Perez got rid of him. Madrid has since flourished.”
@unmessy_22 tweeted:
“That’s why no coach wanted him in Europe.”
Garcia sacked as Al-Nassr boss
As a result of his allegedly troubled relationship with Ronaldo, Garcia has reportedly been fired from his position as manager of Al-Nassr.
Less than a year after taking the helm at the Saudi Arabian club, reports from the country claimed the French tactician had been told to go.
