Black Stars have initiated their preparations for the upcoming friendly matches against Mexico and the United States.
In Charlotte, a contingent of 19 players, including key figures such as Thomas Partey, Jordan Ayew, and Richard Ofori, has reported to the team’s training camp in anticipation of these games.
West Ham midfielder Mohammed Kudus is expected to join the team on Wednesday.
The team conducted its first training session at the Charlotte FC training facility as they gear up for the match against Mexico scheduled for October 14.
Further training sessions will take place in the days leading up to the Mexico game, followed by a match against the United States at the GEODIS Park in Nashville, Tennessee, on October 17.
Unfortunately, injuries have forced Tariq Lamptey, Daniel Amartey, Alexander Djiku, and Osman Bukari to withdraw from participation in the two friendly matches.
They have been replaced by Kingsley Schindler, Jerome Opoku, and Stephan Ambrosius.
These friendly matches serve as a preparatory phase for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Madagascar and Comoros in the coming month.
The Black Stars are determined to use this opportunity to ensure they are well-prepared for a strong performance in the upcoming qualifiers.
