The Porcupine Warriors have had an amazing run in the competition this season after three wins in four games in the knockout stages.

The Reds recorded a two legged win over Cameroonian Champions Coton Sport de Garoua to reach the group stages of the competition, where they have been paired Alongside Nkana FC, Zesco United and Al Hilal.

Michael Osei has been following the team’s participation in the competition and believes they have what it takes to reach the quarter finals.

“I monitored them throughout their qualification and they did very well, I was personally impressed with the kind of football they played,” he told NL Radio.

“They should keep up with this kind of performance and I believe they will make it past the group stage.”

“No one expected them to get to the group stage and it is a plus for them so I will urge them to work harder.”

“This stage is more difficult because you have the best teams all at the Group stage.”

The Kumasi based outfit will begin their group stage campaign with a trip to Sudan to face Al Hilal on February 3rd.
