LeBron James has undoubtedly cemented himself as one of the most thrilling NBA players in history.
Throughout his illustrious 20-year career, the Los Angeles Lakers star has earned four championships and numerous accolades, captivating fans with his incredible skills on the court.
However, beyond his sporting prowess, the 38-year-old LeBron takes immense pride in being a devoted father.
Off the basketball court, he embraces his role as a loving dad to his three children, Bronny, Bryce, and Zhuri, whom he shares with his wife Savannah. LeBron’s dedication to both his family and his sport has made him a true inspiration to many.

Bronny James
In July 2023, Bronny, 18, “suffered a cardiac arrest,” while practicing, according to a statement from the James family. “Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital. He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU. We ask for respect and privacy for the James family, and we will update the media when there is more information.”

LeBron opened up about how being a dad has helped him be better as a teammate in a 2018 appearance on The Tim Ferriss Show. “They all are different, and I had to find out how to tap into each one of my kids to get the same results but teach them differently, and that’s the same with being the leader of a basketball team or a franchise,” he said.
LeBron and Savannah, high school sweethearts, became parents to their first son, Bronny, in 2004, just as LeBron embarked on his NBA journey. Bronny has undoubtedly inherited his father’s basketball talents and is proving to be an exceptional player in his own right.
Although currently a high school star, it appears highly probable that he will continue his family’s legacy and follow in his dad’s footsteps to pursue a career in the NBA.
Of course, having your dad be the GOAT can only help your basketball skills, and LeBron has regularly trained with his sons to help them get better at the game. Bronny opened up about following in his dad’s footsteps in a 2022 profile in Sports Illustrated.
“I was born into it, so I feel like the path was already chosen,” he said. “My dad is cool enough to let me take whatever path I want if I wanted to not pursue basketball. But I think basketball is going to be my thing, for sure.”
Bronny has been a standout talent in basketball from a young age, catching the attention of recruiters even as a kid. Colleges began offering him scholarships as early as 11 years old, as reported by ESPN.
In 2023, during his senior year, Bronny achieved the prestigious title of being named a “McDonald’s All-American” player, mirroring the recognition his father, LeBron, received 20 years earlier.
In a profile by Sports Illustrated, Bronny expressed his aspirations of playing in the NBA. Interestingly, LeBron has been vocal about his desire to share the court with his son in the NBA, expressing this sentiment in various interviews and through his Twitter account.
The idea of a father-son duo in the league has generated excitement and anticipation among basketball fans.
