James Kwesi Appiah and Stephen Appiah, head coach and technical coordinator of the senior national team, the Black Stars respectively, will lead a powerful delegation to Kumasi, to pay courtesy call on some key stakeholders, ahead of the much expected J.A Kufuor Cup match on Sunday, December 30, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Ashantigold would vie for the first ever J.A. Kufuor Cup. The match forms part of activities of the 80th birthday celebration of the former president.

The two officials of the Black Stars, who also double as Ambassadors for the historic match, which seeks to celebrate and honour the former president, as part of his 80th birthday celebrations, would visit Mr. Samuel Osei Mensah, the Ashanti Regional Minister and Mr. Osei Assibey Antwi, Chief Executive Officer of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) in the early hours of Monday, December 17.
The move by the two ambassadors, is to solicite the blessing and support of the two leaders of the region, ahead of the match.
It is also appeal to them, to whip the interest of football fans in the region to patronise the historic match between the two sides.

According to JAK Foundation and Primeval Media, the organisers of the match, the two national icons would also meet some strategic stakeholders in the region as part of the visit.
