Ray Parlour, a former Arsenal midfielder, has suggested that Thomas Partey may be on the verge of leaving the club due to persistent injury issues.
Partey, who hasn’t featured in a Premier League game for Arsenal since October, was also ruled out of the African Cup of Nations with Ghana due to ongoing problems.
His injury-prone history has resulted in significant periods of absence during his time in north London.
Despite currently being in Dubai for warm-weather training with the team, it remains uncertain when the 30-year-old, formerly of Atletico Madrid, will be fit for selection.
Speaking to BettingSites.co.uk, Parlour said: “I think Thomas Partey is the big question because it looks like he’s going to be on his way. You need to replace him, which is difficult. When he’s in the team, he’s a decent player in that central midfield area.”
Partey has featured in just four league matches and five overall in all competitions.
