Fluminense midfielder Andre, aged 22, has stated that he is not informed about any interest from Manchester United.
Andre, who is attracting attention from various Premier League clubs, had a previous offer from Liverpool rejected in the last transfer window.
Recent reports from England suggest that Manchester United is actively contemplating Andre as a potential successor to Casemiro in the future.
“I didn’t know about it (the Manchester United interest),” Andre said. “And I also don’t think anything arrived. We’re in November; there’s the final stretch of the Brazilian Championship; there’s the Club World Cup, but I’m very happy.
Casemiro is someone who has had a huge career. I try to talk to him a lot when I’m with the national team. He’s a person who gives me a lot of advice; he’s a great leader and what’s left for me is to continue playing well. I’m happy to attract these interests.”
Andre, 22, says his dream is to play in Europe one day.
“At the end of the season, we’ll see what will happen,” the Brazil international said. “Every young player aspires to play in Europe one day. This is not just my dream, but that of the vast majority. I have a contract with Fluminense; proposals should arrive and then it’s time to talk to the club and decide what’s best for everyone.”
