President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku, has officially filed a complaint with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service regarding an alleged attempted murder.
According to sources, Kurt Okraku’s report to the CID states that an individual named David confessed to him that he had been hired by Wilfred Kwaku Osei to carry out a plot to end Okraku’s life.
Reportedly, David revealed that he was promised GHS200,000 as payment for carrying out this “job.”
David, as per Kurt Okraku’s account, confessed his involvement due to his admiration for Okraku and asked for compensation for revealing the assassination plot and sparing Okraku’s life.
After investigating the details provided by Kurt Okraku, the CID informed the accused, Wilfred Kwaku Osei, about the allegations against him and officially invited him to the Regional Headquarters on August 25, 2023.
In response, Wilfred Osei Palmer consulted his legal representatives, who informed the police that he could only attend the invitation on August 28, a request that the CID reportedly accepted.
On the designated day, Wilfred Osei Palmer, accompanied by his legal team, including former GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi, appeared at the CID Regional Headquarters.
After providing his statement, he was asked to return for further questioning on September 7, 2023.
Meanwhile, GFA President Kurt Okraku is presently at the CID headquarters, presumably assisting the police in their ongoing investigations.
